Maureen Kritzer-Lange MSW, LCSW

Who Is Maureen Kritzer-Lange?

Maureen Kritzer-Lange is dedicated to transforming women’s lives. As a psychoanalyst with 25 years of private practice experience, her mission focuses on empowering women to realize their full potential. Her expertise spans eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.

 

Maureen holds a BS in Communications and Human Development from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications and The School of Human Development. She furthered her education at New York University, earning a Master’s degree in Social Work. She is a certified Psychoanalyst through the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis of New Jersey (CPPNJ), where she also contributes as a teaching faculty member. Additionally, she holds a Certificate in Eating Disorders, Compulsions, and Addictions from the William Alanson White Institute in New York.

 

Beyond her private practice, Maureen has served as the President of the Eating Disorders Association of New Jersey. She is an active speaker for professional organizations and engages on social media to discuss issues related to body image, self-esteem, eating disorders.

 

Maureen is the author of a forthcoming book focusing on women struggling with eating disorders and has contributed articles to the Huffington Post. She has also created and presented an assessment and treatment course on eating disorders, which she has delivered at prestigious venues such as Jewish Center for Family Services in Chicago, Rutgers University Continuing Education School of Social Work, and online through Udemy Training Courses.

 

In 2021, she founded the “Don’t Trust the Mirror” movement, providing a supportive forum for women to promote healthy body image and self-esteem. She hosts the podcast “My Secret Life with an Eating Disorder,” available on iHeartRadio, Spotify, and other platforms. Maureen’s life mission is to help women navigate life’s challenges, especially those posed by eating disorders. She aims to increase their self-esteem, help them find their voice, and free them from shame, guilt, and negativity. She inspires, empowers, and enlightens, offering consistent empathy, kindness, and authenticity.
